Dr. Rajan Tondon is a meritorious student of La Martiniere for Boys, Kolkata, and,
a thoroughbred Calcuttan, being born and brought up in Kolkata. He graduated from Medical
College Bengal in 1995 and underwent extensive training in General Surgery and Plastic &
Reconstructive Surgery at Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research ( IPGME&R ),
Kolkata between 1997 to 2004. He was awarded the Gold Medal for Proficiency in Surgery in
2000, at IPGME&R, Kolkata.
He visited Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai and Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Taiwan as
Visiting Scholar in 2000 and 2004, respectively. He is at present attached to Belle Vue Clinic,
The Calcutta Medical Research Institute and Medica Superspecialty Hospital. Further, he is
actively associated with Repose Clinic & Smile Train to provide free of cost Cleft care to
the underprivileged sections of society , having performed over 300 such procedures
(from July,2008 to May,2011).
His main areas of interest are Aesthetic Surgery, Trauma & Hand reconstruction and Burn care.
He regularly attends national & international workshops and meetings and was an invited
Faculty at a national conference held in Goa, India in 2010.
He has an active interest in Occult teachings, outdoor sports, travelling and photography.
His Aesthetic Surgery Clinic is situated at 30/1, Ritchie Road, Kolkata 700019, where he is
available in the evenings for consultations and counseling.
